This is a full‑time night shift position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (Norfolk, VA). Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a 525‑bed academic medical center, the region’s only Level I trauma center, and home to Nightingale, the first hospital‑based air ambulance in Virginia. You will work with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians using evidence‑based respiratory‑therapy protocols to provide exceptional care for our patients.
As a respiratory therapist you will gain experience in advanced practices such as esophageal balloon‑guided ventilation, APRV, volumetric diffusive respiration, advanced ventilator strategies, lung‑protective ventilation, and monitoring of indices that reduce ventilator‑induced lung injury.
