Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all people—including staff and customers. Maintains an adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation. Performs MR Tech I & II responsibilities with addition of one of the following:
Interoperative, Cardiac, virtual steering technologist, serving as an MR Safety officer or MRI Program Coordinator (including working in an ambulatory setting). Prior studies in Radiologic Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.
This is an MRI Technologist position that is primarily responsible for Virtual Scanning. Technologists will scan patients according to site‑specific protocols depending on where the patient is located. Careful coordination with patient care staff located at a different site will be imperative. Overall, in‑depth knowledge of MRI safety.
Requirements- No less than 5 years MRI experience in both ambulatory and acute settings
- Well versed in multiple GE and Siemens platforms, including Sola, Vida, Aera, GE750W, GE450W
- Ability to scan more than one patient at a time on different scanners using the virtual platform
- Experience in investigating and scanning implanted devices, including stimulators, ICDs, and pacemakers
- Ability to provide clear direction and communication for support to the care team at an offsite location: during or after potential safety events, how to manipulate table and equipment, patient positioning adjustments
- ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate
- ARRT or MR
5 years MRI.
