This is a Full-Time onsite position located at Granby St, Norfolk, VA.
As a Medical Assistant with Sentara, you will work directly with a doctor conducting phlebotomy (lab), clinical and clerical duties. This position's primary responsibilities include bringing the patients into rooms, taking vitals, verifying patient information, and preparing them for the doctor. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.
Education
- High School Grad or Equivalent
Certification / Licensure
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)- Certification National Healthcare Association (NHA)
- EMT Basic-Certifications-National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
- EMT Advanced-Certification
-National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or Paramedic
Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, and / or Corpsman preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred, plus experience with electronic medical records.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $16.92 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
