Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Sentara is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. This is a Flexi position with rotating shift hours. Position is located in Norfolk, VA.
Performs and analyzes all diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures in an ambulatory setting. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Provides the best patient care and practices radiation safety standards at all times.
Job DescriptionConducts general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including positioning of patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology. Competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, radioisotopes, operation of radiation-producing equipment, operation of electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provision of patient and family education, and maintenance of adequate supply inventory.
Explains examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation. Complies with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Intravenous (IV) competency required.

- ARRT required CNMT
- No experience required; new grads welcome
