The VWTS Services business is hiring a Finance Intern to support the North America Services business, which is a fast growing business unit within the company and North America is its largest region. In this role, you will be responsible for the detailed analysis of business segments, and cost departments, including analyzing the cost structure, determining profitability where applicable, and supporting the Finance team in the budget process.

To be successful, you will need to work independently to solve problem statements, with a variety of stakeholders. You will also work on business analysis with a finance mindset and collaborate with operational owners to ensure the development of proper KPIs.
The right candidate will enjoy going into details on a transactional level, while keeping the big picture in mind; where the business is growing and how the business is making money, to come up with better ways of reporting key numbers and measures to communicate where the business’ success is and where the business can improve. Collaboration with finance and non-finance team members is also a key skill for this role.

The scope of the role is mostly NAM focused while any best practices that are identified shall be rolled out in other regions on a global level (Europe, MEA, APAC, LAM). You will work with business leaders, sales teams, CoEs, global FP&A and other finance and cross functional teams to drive the strategic direction of the business, create visibility and understanding of the figures and identify risk and opportunities.

• Detailed analysis of business segments and cost departments
• Determine profitability of a business segment
• Develop savings based on the financial output and analysis
• Work closely with the core NAM Finance team on all ongoing topics and collaborate with the business to ensure outputs will be used to drive decisions
• Support financial deliverables where needed
• Support the closing, reporting, budgeting, auditing and any other fiduciary responsibilities

• Working toward a Finance/Accounting degree
