- You will be the technical expert and advisor to the Commander Naval Surface Force Atlantic (CNSL), provide advice on travel claims and approving travel vouchers in Defense Travel System (DTS).
- You will be responsible for applying Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) principles in processing and certifying travel claims in DTS.
- You will serve as the Alternate APC for the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program and provide financial reports and information as requested.
- You will analyze Financial Efficiency Index Factors and ensure compliance with governing directives for travel integrity.
- You will identify and analyze receipts, obligations and expenditure of funds allotted to CNSL.
- You will provide financial statements, accounting reports, and other information of a factual nature reflecting the interrelationship between accounting, budgeting, and ether management data.
- You will be a technical expert and advisor to CNSL and subordinate commands, advising and formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
- You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting obligations, and expenditures for CNSL and subordinate commands.
- You will be responsible for ensuring funds are properly allocated and provide recommendations on the best course of action after coordinating with subordinate commands and other relevant activities.
- You will ensure all financial records are in balance, forecasting and analyzing budgets, and provide financial information as requested.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
