We are seeking a Senior Estimator for the Norfolk operations—a Strategic Risk Architect who thrives on technical complexity and high-impact decision-making. You will lead Construction Design-Build and EPC estimates, assisting clients in making fact-based decisions while minimizing risk and mentoring the next generation of estimating talent.
The Impact You Will Make- Strategic Leadership: Lead estimating strategy and implementation for a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.
- Risk Architecture: Drive the risk review process, addressing commercial terms, conditions, and potential scope gaps to protect the firm's interests.
- Subcontractor Synergy: Lead subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification reviews, ensuring the highest quality of bid packages and supply chain integrity.
- Executive Presentation: Present accurate, credible estimates to internal and external clients, providing final recommendations on fees, contingencies, and escalation.
- Technical Excellence: Maintain the gold standard for cost history and database management while validating value engineering items and alternates.
- Experience: 7+ years of direct project estimating experience, specifically within EPC or Design-Build environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Applicable experience may be substituted).
- Software Mastery: Expert proficiency with Con Est
, K-base
, and the Microsoft Office suite. - Safety & Compliance: Active OSHA 10-hour certification required.
