Join an exciting 12-month contract opportunity as a Supply Chain Planner II, where you'll play a critical role in overseeing materials and subcontractors in the ship modernization process, ensuring seamless program execution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage materials and subcontractors, ensuring program execution complies with necessary requirements and directives.
  • Facilitate communication of contract requirements and expectations to internal departments and external subcontractors.
  • Prepare management reports to identify and address project plan variances requiring immediate attention.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure subcontractor alignment with production plans and budgets.
  • Conduct ship inspections and participate in production schedule setups and manpower projections.
  • Resolve subcontractor issues not addressable by craft supervision, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Skills
  • Experience working on US Navy ships with a strong understanding of ship repair and production processes.
  • Proficient in project management, coordination, and leadership, focusing on execution and results delivery.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, capable of directing cross-functional teams towards project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software programs, with agility in learning new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to assess production progress and communicate improvements with management teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and understanding of project performance metrics.
  • Experience in supply chain processes within a ship repair environment, supporting planning and operations.
  • Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills to ensure compliance with regulations.
