Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Utilities Locator located in Norfolk, VA. The Utilities Locator will be responsible for identifying and marking storm systems. The role involves collaboration with the team in planning and conducting site investigations as well as collecting data to ensure the safe and efficient execution of projects. Attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations are essential aspects of this role.
Qualifications- Experience with excavation and knowledge of the utility industry
- Strong computer literacy for data entry, mapping tools, and related software
- Effective communication skills for team coordination and interaction with clients
- Familiarity with utility locating equipment and practices is a plus
- Driver’s license and the ability to travel locally as needed
- Commitment to safety and following relevant regulations
