Field Engineer - Major Bridge & Tunnel Infrastructure Project

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (). We are currently looking for a Field Engineer to join our team for a major bridge and tunnel infrastructure project in Virginia, USA (on-site position).

Project: Large-Scale Bridge and Tunnel Infrastructure Works

Estimated duration of the position: 12 months;
In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

The Field Engineer will provide on-site engineering support during night operations, ensuring productivity, accurate documentation, quality control, and effective coordination with superintendents and subcontractors. The role is essential to maintaining compliance with project specifications and execution schedules.

• Provide field engineering support during night shift operations.
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports.
• Track quantities and production progress.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities on-site.
• Support inspection processes and quality control procedures.
• Follow up on RFIs and technical queries.
  
  Prepare and update as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday – Night Shift

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical background.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction projects.
• Experience in heavy civil or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation and field reporting.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and support site supervision teams.
• English level: C1 (Advanced).
• Local profile preferred.
