Akkodis is seeking a Medical Device Validation Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Norfolk, VA. You will be leading validation activities and supporting product quality throughout the lifecycle, this role could be an excellent match.
Rate Range: $75.00/hour to $85.00/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Validation Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Lead and execute IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV, and analytical method validations.
- Serve as a hands-on Validation Lead for changes to existing systems, equipment, and processes.
- Review manuals, specifications, drawings, and SOPs to ensure compliance with validation requirements.
- Perform Non Conformance (NC) and Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
- Conduct process and quality improvement activities using Six Sigma, statistical tools, PFMEA, and CAPA.
- Support audits by explaining validation and qualification activities performed at the site.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline (science, engineering, etc.).
- 5–7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong technical writing skills, including analytical methods and documentation.
- Ability to lead activities, prioritize tasks, and drive projects to completion.
- Clear and concise communicator with experience writing technical materials.
- Team‑oriented mindset with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
