PURPOSE
As a Sr. Project Engineer with a focus on valve assemblies, your primary responsibility will be creating/developing efficient and reliable Valve designs for various product lines within the Dante Valve portfolio. This role demands a deep understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanical and structural design principles, Strength of materials, testing methodologies, as well as an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and functionality of the overall system.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Design and develop electro-mechanical valves, giving careful attention to factors such as form, fit, function, durability and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend system requirements and constraints associated with
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor to craft detailed 3D models and engineering drawings of valve designs.
- Demonstrate expertise in Inventor skills to effectively communicate design concepts and implement them in the design process.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to procure and assess components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews, offering technical insights to identify and resolve packaging-related challenges.
- Generate comprehensive documentation, encompassing design specifications, test reports, and assembly instructions.
- Support the smooth transition of designs into production, adeptly addressing any design-related hurdles during manufacturing.
- Provide proficient technical support to manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless integration of packaging components into the final product.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Hydraulic and Pneumatics Product Design.
- 5-10 years of Product Development/Design experience, with some electro-mechanical design. (Regulated Industry is preferred but not necessary)
- 5-10 years of CAD Experience, 2D and 3D (Autodesk Inventor is preferred, but not necessary)
- 3-4 years of FEA/CFD Experience
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, mechanical and structural design principles, Strength of materials, and testing methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes (CNC milling, CNC Turning, Casting, sheet-metal, and Welding)
- Working knowledge of various prototyping methods (I.E. 3D printing)
- Strong sense of urgency
- Excellent problem-solving skills, team player
