Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Cybersecurity Engineer who will provide key support for Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), and other U.S. Federal Government Electronic Security System (ESS) projects.
Leverage knowledge and skills necessary to design, install, test and maintain the cybersecurity posture of Electronic Security Systems.
Job Description- Design, implement security controls, and commission Electronic Security Systems to DoD and DoS specific guidelines and requirements.
- Review and interpret Request for Proposal (RFP) / Performance Work Statement (PWS) documentation to support development of cost estimates, system design, Bill of Material (BOM), and project execution.
- Develop documentation including survey reports, drawing packages, test plans and procedures, training documents, cybersecurity artifacts, and maintenance plans.
- Respond to requests for information, proposals and quotes, interpreting customer requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and system schematics, technical data packages, and installation design plans.
- Read and interpret system test plans and procedures.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cybersecurity engineering needs regarding system performance, installations, and maintenance programs.
- Recommend improvements to existing systems and designs using industry best practices.
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing support of security hardware and software.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as information systems or computer science (or equivalent military advanced electronic or communication technician school).
- 5+ years experience supporting cybersecurity requirements of electronics/electrical systems (e.g., Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit Television, IP Network Infrastructure).
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and test equipment.
- Ability to work in a demanding, deadline‑driven environment; detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work independently or under limited supervision.
- Degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
- Security+, CISSP, or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with U.S. Navy (NIWC) and U.S. Army (USACE) ESS requirements preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour safety certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with DoD and DoS security systems, Lenel, DAQ, Genetec, Axis, Pelco, Milestone, etc.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network topology preferred.
- Active DoD “Secret” security clearance (possible upgrade to “Top Secret”).
- U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license.
- Current passport preferred.
- 15%–20% travel, domestic and international, depending on program requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required identification credentials, including REAL , by start of employment.
- Ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel up to 75% of the time; lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive motions, balancing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
- Communicate and exchange information with others.
- Work under extreme temperature conditions and noise levels.

CompensationPay Range: $145,000 – $160,000 per year
