Position at JE Dunn Construction. This role reports into the National Aviation team and is expected to travel throughout the United States.

The Scheduler 2 will complete increasingly complex activities to prepare project schedules. Responsibilities include visiting job sites to review status, drafting, updating and reviewing schedules, and mentoring less‑experienced co‑workers. All activities support JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.

• Prepare, build and update project schedules collaboratively with the project team.
• Perform schedule reviews to ensure effective best practices, and communicate review comments diplomatically.
• Participate in all phases of construction planning and scheduling, including proposal schedules, baseline schedule, and ongoing updates.
• Utilize JE Dunn scheduling software.
• Assist with and perform training for JE Dunn operations; prepare training content and courses.
• Develop best practices for planning and scheduling.
• Visit job sites regularly to review status and apply construction sequencing knowledge to update schedules.
• Attend project‑related meetings where schedule emphasis is discussed.
• Support Lean and Pull Planning sessions, ensuring CPM schedules align with pull plan results.
• Prepare a variety of project reports as required.
• Add resource loading and cost loading to schedules when required.
• Provide planning and scheduling support to operations, marketing, and other IPS functions.
• Incorporate market and regional information (seasonal weather, materials, labor, etc.) into project schedules.
• Participate in pursuit opportunities with business development and the project team.
• Conduct detailed critical path analysis for problem projects and root‑cause analysis for issues.
• Assist project teams with schedule sequencing, construction methods, delay impacts, alternate work plans, and recovery schedules.
• Facilitate planning and scheduling training for internal team members; e.g., One Dunn training for P&S Group, schedule software training, etc.
• Participate in job pre‑planning, post‑construction, and monthly project status review meetings.

• Accuracy, completeness, and timely performance.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Intermediate ability to identify schedule sequencing concerns and improvement opportunities during site visits.
• Intermediate knowledge of construction management methods.
• Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software implementation.
• Intermediate knowledge of various construction projects and delivery methods.
• Intermediate understanding of work activity sequencing, durations, scheduling concepts, and best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in scheduling software.
• Intermediate knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
• Ability to import schedules into JE Dunn’s standard scheduling software.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with team members.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team, internally and externally.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Equivalent relevant experience considered in lieu of the above requirement.

• 3+ years of planning and scheduling experience (preferred).

• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• Willingness to work non‑traditional hours to meet business needs.
• Normal office environment, but may expose to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
• Frequent activity: sitting, viewing computer screen.
• Occasional activity: standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
