Power Generation Technician
Location: Multiple project sites / field-based

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (based on project needs)
System One LLC is seeking a Power Generation Technician to support power generation operations across deployed assets and company facilities. This hands-on role focuses on the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of power generation equipment, supporting reliability, safety, and continuous operations in demanding field environments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with operators and fellow technicians to provide technical support, diagnostics, maintenance, and equipment repairs
- Prioritize workload effectively to prevent equipment failures and minimize unplanned downtime
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems using CAT ET and other diagnostic software
- Read and interpret wiring schematics, technical manuals, and guides to repair, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and control hardware
- Accurately document maintenance activities, diagnostics performed, and parts used within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Maintain a strong safety mindset and exercise Stop Work Authority when required
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping of company property, including service vehicles and trailers
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, attend required training sessions, and utilize proper PPE at all times
- Operate company vehicles safely and professionally in all weather and road conditions
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar power generation or field technician role
- Experience with CAT G3520 engine packages (preferred)
- Experience with Solar SMT
60 turbine packages (preferred) - Proficiency using CAT ET and other diagnostic software
- Fundamental understanding of:
- Natural gas reciprocating and turbine engines
- Control systems and instrumentation
- Power generators and basic electrical theory
- Network protocols and communication devices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional interaction with clients, leadership, and team members
- Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and capable of managing time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn additional software platforms quickly
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and equipment
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform manual tasks
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be capable of working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Field-based and facility environments
- Moderate noise levels may be present
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions during field operations
