Saint Patrick Catholic School is currently seeking (2) Lower School Teacher Assistants to nurture and support Kindergarten students in their personal and academic growth beginning August 2026 for the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

- Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, respectful, nurturing classroom environment in accordance with the school's guidelines that supports students in choosing responsible and respectful behaviors.
- Prepare materials for lessons and ensure classroom spaces are safe, positive, clean, and conducive to learning
- Assume full responsibility for supervising and instructing students in the teacher's absence
- Observe and report student progress and special needs for individual students to the teacher
- Build personal knowledge of child development and teaching methods and materials to support literacy
- Attend regular faculty and department meetings; participate in designated professional development activities; contribute to teamwork and positive morale
- Participate in faith formation experiences
- Perform other duties as directed by the lead teacher and administration
- Comply with school policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to solve problems without sacrificing relationships
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, and run
- Experience with classroom management and working with digital technologies
- High School Diploma or GED
- Post graduation from an accredited college or university, with an interest in a teaching career, preferred
- A minimum of one year of experience working with children, preferably in an academic setting
