Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing the field of aviation maintenance through exceptional education and training. Full time Monday‑Friday (flexibility required to support daytime and evening programs).
CompensationBase salary $85,000 – $105,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Position PurposeThe Director of Education communicates with the corporate office to ensure instruction and faculty training meets ACCSC, state, FAA and regulatory guidelines. The role is accountable for educational integrity, curriculum, instructor development and institutional improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as liaison between campus and corporate program directors.
- Audit all school curricula to ensure instructors use current syllabi, lesson plans and textbooks.
- Audit and report instructor performance at least semi‑annually.
- Conduct classroom observations and substitute as instructor when needed.
- Create, monitor and update Faculty Personnel Report (FPR) for each instructor.
- Facilitate initial instructor training to ACCSC standards.
- Facilitate ongoing instructor development with educational personnel.
- Chair all Program Coordinator meetings and review minutes.
- Assist with organization and facilitation of all Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings.
- Perform and complete other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- Associate’s degree or higher level of education.
- 5+ years of management experience or proven leadership in a relevant role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated expertise in resolving conflicts and fostering positive workplace relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable individual contributor with effective leadership skills.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Teaching experience.
- Educational experience in private‑for‑profit college education.
