Dental Hygienist – Norfolk, VA

Pay: $50-55/hr

As a Dental Hygienist you will be an integral member of the patient care team, delivering comprehensive oral health services in a full clinical autonomy environment.

Key duties include:

• Professional hygiene clinical procedures and patient education.
• Screening, medical history documentation, and referral coordination.
• Maintain clinical skills through mentorship and continuing education.
• Assist the dental team to meet patient needs and maintain a positive working environment.

• Current dental hygienist license in Virginia and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR certification.

• New graduates welcome.
• Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills.

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office, Doctor, or Heartland Dental with reasonable accommodations.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
• TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions.
