About the Event
Join Cues for Cancer as we bring hope center stage during Cancer Awareness Night at the iconic Norfolk Scope. With a crowd of over 10,000 attendees expected, our mission is to spark connection, inspire generosity, and support the theater community affected by cancer. We are seeking dedicated volunteers who want to make a tangible impact—one smile, one interaction, one moment of encouragement at a time.
Event staff will assist with a variety of patron‑focused and promotional tasks, including:
- Greeting guests and providing friendly customer support
- Walking designated areas to interact with patrons and share awareness materials
- Handing out flyers promoting the charity auction
- Monitoring the auction table and ensuring items remain organized and secure
- Assisting attendees with the online bidding platform for auction items
- Representing Cues for Cancer with enthusiasm, professionalism, and care
Qualifications
- Comfortable being on your feet for up to 6 hours
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- A positive attitude and passion for supporting a meaningful cause
- Reliability and punctuality — the success of our presence depends on a cohesive team!
