Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Portfolio Risk Management professional to support NATO capability development activities within a complex, multinational defense environment. The contractor will work as part of an established business change team supporting portfolio, capability, and program risk management functions.
This role supports long-term capability development planning, risk maturity assessment, and enterprise-level risk frameworks aligned to NATO strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the establishment and maturation of portfolio and capability risk management functions
- Develop and document organizational portfolio risk management processes and frameworks
- Design and implement risk assessment, analysis, and reporting methodologies
- Provide subject-matter expertise in portfolio, program, organizational, and enterprise risk maturity
- Develop briefing and presentation materials for senior leadership
- Produce risk management proposals and roadmaps defining end-state maturity, milestones, and actions
- Support implementation of approved risk management tools, guidance, and reporting structures
- Participate in working-level coordination meetings across stakeholder organizations
- Perform additional duties related to the labor category as directed by the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR)
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, management, information systems, economics, finance, business administration, public administration, operations research, program or project management, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience supporting portfolio risk management in a professional environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and implementing organizational portfolio risk management frameworks
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing portfolio risk management process documentation
- Professional certification such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP), Professional Risk Manager (PRM), or equivalent
- Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to brief and coordinate with senior stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaborative software tools
- High-level written and verbal English proficiency (STANAG 6001 equivalent preferred)
- Active NATO Secret or National Secret clearance
- Citizen of a NATO member nation with a valid NATO-nation passport and no travel restrictions
- Candidates holding U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearances may be considered only if eligible for NATO read-in
- Candidates without a current active clearance will not be considered
- Proof of clearance and nationality will be required during screening
