Full time/permanent - 37 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 5 hrs – finish early) About the role

As a New Programmes Purchasing Coordinator at Mirus Aircraft Seating, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of new and ongoing programmes within the organisation. Acting as the central point of coordination, this role ensures programme milestones, timelines, and deliverables are effectively tracked and communicated across departments. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and capable of working across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

A key part of the businesses programmes team, you will assist in coordinating purchasing activities across multiple programmes managing costs and sourcing risk to ensure programmes are delivered on‑time, to budget and with a sustainable high quality supplier base, responsible for managing material procurement information (MPI) with precision and efficiency and helping to ensure that supplier performance aligns with programme requirements.

In

the role of New Programmes Purchasing Coordinator, you will:
  • Coordinate purchasing activities in alignment with programme schedules, from pre‑production through to delivery. Plan and implement the development and execution, identify needs, set goals and create work plans
  • Track sourcing activities and progress across programmes and provide regular status updates in meetings
  • Participate in purchasing programme meetings, ensuring alignment with programme timelines and purchasing deliverables
  • Act as a liaison between cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless communication and execution
  • Contribute to the development of material cost targets (BoM costs), maintaining accurate cost status and highlighting risks or opportunities for cost fluctuations
  • Create and maintain programme tracking tools, KPIs, and gateway review presentations
  • Identify, monitor, and report purchasing and supply chain risks and opportunities to support both short‑term development builds and long‑term sourcing strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across programme and project delivery processes
  • Provide administrative support to the wider Purchasing and Supply Chain team
About you

To support Mirus on our continued journey of growth, we’re looking for someone who brings proven experience in a programmes/purchasing coordination role, a proactive approach to solving challenges, and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also bring the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in a purchasing coordination, project support, or administration role (preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace sectors)
  • A solid understanding of fundamental project management tools and methodologies
  • IT proficiency, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Confidence in generating data‑driven reports and delivering clear, concise updates to both colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of product development and new product introduction (NPI) processes
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as within aerospace or automotive sectors
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and bill of materials (BOMs)

Personal skills / attributes:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to foster excellent relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels both internally and externally
