Job DutiesTo provide services which ensure a fair, equitable and quality working and learning environment for all employees and members of the university community; to proactively and creatively provide all customers with superior, innovation, and cost-effective programs and services; to continuously seek and supply all customers with the opportunities and resources needed to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities so they may better support the mission of the university.
Assists the Resident Director with creating, coordinating and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained residential environment. Maintains supervision of front desk area during assigned shift, greets customers, answers phones, and provides exceptional customer service at all times. Responsible for providing administrative support for general office tasks, assists with complaints, maintenance reports, issues, and data entry as needed. Serves as the initial first‑responder for emergencies, incidents and crises, as needed.
Serves as essential personnel.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. A two‑year or 4‑year degree is preferred.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Two years working in an office setting handling general administrative tasks.
- Experience working with diverse student populations strongly preferred.
- Experience with emergency/incident response preferred.
- Experience working under stressful conditions requiring quick‑thinking and analytical skills desired.
- Must be willing to fulfill responsibilities as essential personnel and be willing to overtime, as needed.
Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; be creative and a self‑starter, possess excellent organizational skills; and must be able to multi‑task and prioritize workload, and work well independently within a team‑oriented environment.
Must have strong customer service skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be able to work well under stressful, intense conditions.
