We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter to help support the Voids and Planned Maintenance team with installing kitchens/bathrooms and to carry out general building maintenance works to a wide range of building types, including those works not necessarily of their own trade.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Install kitchen/bathrooms and perform all general maintenance building work to maintain premises owned by Saffron or those they have an interest in.

* Requirement to perform carpentry, plumbing, tiling, etc work of a maintenance nature.

* Undertake building work in association with improvement contracts, minor works and small new build contracts.

* Carry out work not necessarily of their own trade.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Educations and

Qualifications:

* Good level of general education to NVQ Level 2, or 5 GCSEs, grade ‘C’ or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics. (E)

* Trade apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 or equivalent. (E)

* Full driving licence (E)

Experience:

* Experience in fitting kitchens and bathrooms plus all types of maintenance work in both occupied and empty properties. (E)

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

* A thorough knowledge of all work in relation to their trade. (E)

* Excellent customer relation skills (E)

* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (E)

* The ability to prioritise their own workload and meet deadlines (E)

* Basic IT skills and understanding (D)

* Working Hours - 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 16.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 15.30pm)

* When On Call, Standby - £150 per week

* Call Out Rate - paid at time and a half (double time for Bank Holidays, including TOIL where applicable)
