The Role
We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business in Norfolk to recruit an Assembly Technician to support the build and assembly of precision products.
This role focuses on the assembly of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies used across both production and development environments. You’ll be working from drawings and build documentation, contributing to consistent, high-quality output.
The position would suit someone who enjoys structured assembly work, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable working within defined processes.

What You’ll Be Doing  
Assembling mechanical and electrical components to defined specifications
Working from drawings, build instructions and technical documentation
Using a range of hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
Carrying out in-process quality checks during assembly
Supporting safe and efficient use of workshop equipment
Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant working area
Following Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements  What We’re Looking For Essential
 
Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly or fitting
Confident using hand tools and general workshop equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Physically capable of manual handling tasks  Desirable
 
Experience assembling precision or low-volume manufactured products
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Background in manufacturing or technical environments
Full UK driving licence  The Environment
This is a workshop-based role within a structured manufacturing environment, offering a consistent Monday–Friday working pattern and a long-term position. The work is varied, detail-focused and suited to technicians who value accuracy and process.
