Role:
Finance Manager – Manufacturing Sector (Hands‑On Role)

Location:

Near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Salary: circa £60k + benefits

A well‑established, family‑owned manufacturing business is seeking a hands‑on, commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function. With a team of around 45 people, the company offers a close‑knit, practical working environment where flexibility, involvement, and teamwork are essential.

The Role

This is a broad and varied position covering day‑to‑day finance operations through to management accounts and commercial support. The successful candidate will work closely with production, warehousing, procurement, and sales teams, ensuring strong financial control and supporting the business as it continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage daily finance operations including invoicing, ledgers, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

* Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and financial reports.

* Work with warehousing and production teams on stock control, costing, and inventory accuracy.

* Support overseas trading processes, including commodity codes and documentation.

* Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decisions.

* Act as a trustee of the company’s final salary pension scheme.

* Improve processes, controls, and reporting across the finance function.

About You

* CIMA qualified (or equivalent).

* Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong understanding of stock, warehousing, and costing.

* Confident preparing management accounts and managing transactional finance.

* Commercially minded, practical, and willing to get involved in day‑to‑day tasks.

* Comfortable working in a small, family‑owned business where adaptability is key.

* Knowledge of overseas trading and commodity codes is an advantage.
