Location:
Snetterton (commutable from Thetford, Attleborough, Snetterton, Wymondham, Diss, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Dereham, Brandon, Watton, and surrounding areas)
Are you an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer looking to join a market-leading FMCG manufacturer?
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team, across a wide variety of modern machinery, in a challenging and rewarding environment.
We’re seeking a proactive engineer who thrives in a busy production setting, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance while contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects.
What you’ll do:Working a rotational shift pattern (6 am–2 pm, 2 pm–10 pm, 10 pm–6 am), you will:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on processing, production, packaging, and site facilities equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with engineering projects
- Work with equipment including mixers, check-weighers, fillers, flow-wrappers, and conveyors
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-skilled engineer who can work independently, use initiative, and communicate effectively. You will:
- Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Possess a stand-alone electrical qualification (essential)
- Have prior experience as a multi-skilled engineer within FMCG or manufacturing
- Be familiar with site plant and facilities maintenance
- Ideally have exposure to TPM, WCM, or Lean methodologies
- Demonstrate strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
