Scale Solar Technician

Position: Large Scale Solar Technician
Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company have a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and have a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We're looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join the team to cover large scale, ground mount solar assets across Norfolk and just into Suffolk too.

This Solar Technician comes with a salary up to £40,000, with door to door pay and paid overtime too, including travel time.

Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Technician role

Reporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will:

Ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets
Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites
Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties
Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues
Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets
Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result
Occasional electrical works across the site including the welfare cabins and other associated electrics
Occasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this

We are looking for someone with the following:

At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
2391 test and inspection is hugely preferred
Solar experience is preferred but not essential
Any health and safety qualifications are a benefit
Full UK driving licence
