The Certified Nursing Assistant assists physicians and nurses to meet patients’ health‑care needs.
Schedule- Full‑time or Part‑time
- Day, Evening, or Night shift
- High‑school graduate or equivalent
- Certified by a professional organization in the state
- Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements
- Acute‑care experience preferred
- Takes vital signs, measure height and weight
- Assists with PPDs and EKGs
- Draws blood
- Measures and records intake and output
- Assists with patient treatments (dressing changes, decubitus ulcer care, tracheostomy care)
- Adheres to Universal Precaution and Infection Control procedures
- Schedules appointments
- Adheres to safety and security policies; participates in disaster drills
- Proficient with CPR and receives annual re‑certification training
- Assists in cleaning, sterilizing, and securing equipment
- Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications
