Safety Specialist:

Join MAS Building & Bridge as a Safety Specialist! Play a vital role in construction safety for our valued team members. This position offers a dynamic blend of office and field tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience in safety for Heavy Civil, Structural Steel, and Marine Construction projects. In this position you will support our field crews, and the company as a whole, providing guidance, on-site technical expertise, and training, to keep our operations safe and in compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• professionally represent MAS to client and government regulatory agency personnel
• travel to construction sites across MA & RI
• conduct daily field observations of construction work and document observations
• train and coach field employees on safe work practices
• provide safety related input at morning safety meetings
• compile daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports
• generate safety topics based on field observations and perceived knowledge gaps
• assist site management in completion of incident investigations and required paperwork
• deliver safety related training to groups as required
• develop effective working relationships

Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 Construction or OSHA 510 is preferred
• railroad experience with current Keolis RWP is preferred
