Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by a Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what’s special about each local marketplace.
Cowan Supply is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at their Norcross, GA location.
Pay for Warehouse Teammate is between $21 and $22 per hour at this location.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who thrives on providing an excellent customer experience, is safety‑oriented, and possesses the attention to detail necessary to ensure the accurate fulfillment of customer orders. If so, we’d like you to join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Teammate
.
• Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
• Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
• Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
• Identify nonstock, special‑order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
• Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third‑party carrier.
• Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
• Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/non‑saleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
• Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
• Assist co‑workers in servicing customers.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
QualificationsRequired:
• 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
• Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
• Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
Preferred:
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
• Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment used at the Profit Center.
• Ability to learn and operate the computer‑related systems used for warehouse operations.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
