The Sr. Field Technician will inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment such as SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers, pad‑mount transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and switch gear. The role focuses on safety, troubleshooting, and quality reporting.

• Lead safety briefings on job sites and identify, eliminate or mitigate hazards.
• Perform high, medium, and low voltage testing as crew leader.
• Utilize Human Performance Error Elimination concepts.
• Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test and maintenance reports.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
• Lead safety culture and mentor junior team members.
• Plan and execute testing of electrical apparatus.
• Manage large‑scale, complex projects.
• Train and qualify Field Technicians I‑III.
• Interact with customers and perform complex troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Pass pre‑employment drug screen.
• Complete satisfactory criminal background check.
• Work overtime and travel out of town for periods.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with test equipment such as Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ratio & saturation, Hi‑Pot.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, LV/MV/HV transformers, switch gear, motors, PTs & CCVTs.
• NetA III certification;
  NetA IV a plus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology; military experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 70 lbs.
