Clean Harbors in Norcross, GA is seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic (Diesel Vehicle Mechanic) to join a safety‑conscious team. The role focuses on repairs and preventive maintenance for all company‑owned fleet vehicles.

Base Pay Range

$14.00/hr – $37.00/hr

A competitive wage of $27‑$32 an hour is offered based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure health and safety compliance by following all safe work practices.
  • Move company equipment safely on the yard as needed.
  • Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Complete daily checklists as required.
  • Ensure equipment is parked and secured in compliance with facility permits and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain facility housekeeping duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working on heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
  • At least 1 year of DOT inspection experience.
  • Must provide own basic tools.
  • Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.
