Integrated Medical Systems (IMS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to support preventive maintenance and service of infusion and related medical devices used in outpatient oncology and ambulatory care clinics. This role requires extensive travel and strict adherence to ISO 13485 quality and documentation standards.
Job Requirements- Education & Experience
- Associate degree in biomedical technology, electronics, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of medical device service experience.
- Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and fluid delivery principles.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
- CMMS experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
- How You’ll Make an Impact: Field Service – Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, functional testing, and verification on medical devices per OEM specifications and IMS procedures; conduct basic to intermediate troubleshooting and corrective service; document all service activities in IMS proprietary service system iQuest; verify device conformity prior to return to service; travel extensively (80–100%), including overnight assignments.
- Depot Support – Receive, stage, clean, sanitize, test, and service devices at IMS depots; assist with packing, shipping, and receiving; maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
- Quality & Compliance – Adhere to IMS QMS, ISO 13485 documentation practices, and Good Documentation Practices; follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and infection control requirements; participate in training, audits, and corrective action activities.
- Device Portfolio (Typical – Oncology & Outpatient Clinics) – Volumetric infusion pumps, syringe pumps, ambulatory infusion pumps, enteral feeding pumps, infusion pump accessories and docking/charging stations, vital signs monitors, patient warming devices, exam tables and procedure chairs, blood and fluid warmers, centrifuges (clinic-based, non-lab complex), suction regulators and portable suction units, general non-invasive clinical equipment as assigned.
