SMT Supervisor

This is a full-time, on-site role for an SMT Supervisor located in Norcross, GA. The SMT Supervisor will oversee the operation of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) department, including planning and coordinating daily production activities, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment, and meeting production schedules. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring team members, troubleshooting equipment issues, enforcing safety guidelines, and continually working to improve manufacturing processes.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and ensure customer satisfaction will also be expected.

• Lead daily production meetings and manage staffing and work order priorities
• Monitor production performance metrics and equipment utilization
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules to maximize uptime
• Support SMT quoting, component research, CARs, and RMAs
• Maintain quality standards and ISO compliance
• Coach employees and monitor performance and accountability
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, and cost
• Ensure safe working conditions and adherence to company policies
• Prepare production reports and KPI tracking

• 5+ years of experience in PCB assembly manufacturing management
• Strong technical knowledge in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes, printed circuit board assembly, and related equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in production planning, process optimization, and quality assurance
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools (5S, continuous improvement, best practices)
• Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor and develop team members
• Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and ensuring high-quality outputs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
• Familiarity with industry-specific certifications such as ITAR, AS9100D, and ISO 13485
• Ability to work in an on-site role based in Norcross, GA

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP manufacturing systems is a plus
• Billingual communication skills are a plus (preferably Vietnamese)
