Manufacturing Engineer
A partner of Insight Global, a solar cell manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic Senior Process Engineer to join their growing team. The process engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving processes to improve quality and efficiency. Responsible for one or more processes within the solar cell manufacturing line. Major responsibilities include the development and operation of the processes used in the manufacturing flow with an emphasis on ensuring the process meets the product design requirements for optimized efficiency, quality, throughput, safety, and cost.
This role interfaces with other disciplines within the facility including equipment engineering, quality, production and supply chain. Process engineers are expected to drive a continuous improvement methodology to enhance overall factory output. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills as well as the ability to work with cross functional teams and organize and present results in a clear and compelling way.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related
- 3+ years working in the Semiconductor industry
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in process engineering
- Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to collect and analyze data to make informed data based decisions.
- Experience working within the semiconductor industry or similar
- Knowledge of process optimization techniques like 8D problem solving, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Design of Experiments for process optimization and problem solving
- Familiarity with statistical process control systems (SPC)
- Understanding of solar cell operation and sensitivities
- Strong communication skills to convey process information across organizations and to upper management
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects and demands simultaneously
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of reading and understanding P& chemical process
- Experience in Photovoltaic manufacturing.
- Experience in Allen-Bradley, Siemens and BECKHOFF control systems.
- Efficient of reading and generate electrical diagrams and control diagrams.
- Advanced knowledge of wiring practices ( NEC, UL)
- Familiar with engineer graphic software such as AutoCAD
- Experience with an Engineering Change program consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent
- Experience with implementing and/or sustaining lean manufacturing practices and techniques.
