NOVA Engineering seeks a Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation materials testing projects based in NOVA's Norcross, GA office. This position combines technical expertise with leadership skills to manage complex GDOT roadway and airport projects and ensure quality standards.
This Project Manager will help with writing proposals, scheduling field staff, client interactions, project management/review of field reports, and will also work in the field performing inspections as needed. NOVA will also provide a company truck with fuel card, laptop, cell phone, certification incentive program, and many more perks.
Key Responsibilities- Project coordination of field technicians, schedules, and resources to meet project timelines.
- Preparation of client proposals and report preparation
- Review and approve test reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, project documentation, and quality assurance processes.
- Perform field tests and inspections as needed
- Option 1: Engineer with EIT or PE license and CMT experience with 4+ years of experience
- Option 2: Experienced Senior Technician with multiple GDOT certifications or similar industry certifications (ACI, ICC, etc) and proven project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GDOT specifications and transportation construction practices.
- Airport construction projects are also preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel within Georgia for short assignments.
- Use of take-home Company Vehicle and gas card for daily travel to work sites
