Job Summary
Full-time | Monday - Friday
This position will be responsible for the overall sales and sales management for their client base within the Western region. This individual is expected to strategically grow existing accounts through strategic relationships and provide a high level of service. This position is also responsible for growing new and existing customers by identifying sales opportunities and developing plans to meet the customers' business needs.
Performance expectations will be evaluated based on meeting sales targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Services existing accounts and establish new account opportunities by planning and organizing time and workflow to grow and develop existing or potential sales distributor opportunities.
- Build and create sales presentation content by studying the type distributors/channel partners.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of distributors
- Record all sales activity, including notes and opportunities, in CRM for assigned territory
- Manage price lists, streamline order process, submit orders through various platforms when necessary
- Coordinates involvement of internal resources with customer service, operations and marketing and to drive utilization of the company's value-added services
- Conducts regular account and business reviews to include market trends, customer needs, sales opportunities, and recommendations on customer's business solutions
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports which may include weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory plans
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; and collaborating with management to streamline issues.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Understand how to utilize and analyze sales data through CRM and other methods to gain market share, evaluate distributor sales, and effectively manage business portfolio.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to develop, maintain and build effective relationships
- Extensive knowledge of industry;
Jan San, paper, and disposable food service products - Business acumen to discuss, present, and develop solutions based on customer needs
- Service-oriented, with strong closing skills, and the ability to negotiate
- Ability to travel frequently to develop strong relationships with customers
- Consistent utilization of CRM and other company platforms to leverage technology, streamline process and improve performance.
Three or more years of territory management experience within the Jan San, paper or disposable food service product lines is highly preferred. Prior sales experience is required. Bachelor's degree in business is preferred. Equivalent experience and/or training may be considered.
