*** Position Overview The Jira Administrator & Feature Intake Project Coordinator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and governing the organization’s Jira platform while coordinating end-to-end feature intake processes across technical and business teams. This role ensures alignment with Agile delivery standards, facilitates transparent work prioritization, and supports system reliability and compliance within government or regulated environments. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience administering Atlassian products, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Jira Administration Configure, administer, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and associated Atlassian tools Develop and manage Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and permission schemes in alignment with organizational governance policies Oversee user provisioning, role-based access control, and compliance with applicable frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP if cloud-hosted) Manage integrations between Jira and third-party tools such as Confluence, Git Hub/Git Lab, Slack, and CI/CD platforms Monitor system performance, storage, and security configurations;
coordinate upgrades, patches, and plugin installations Establish Jira governance best practices and maintain up-to-date system documentation Feature Intake & Project Coordination Serve as the primary coordinator for feature intake across product teams, technology groups, and business stakeholders Facilitate intake meetings, ensuring clear problem statements, business value assessments, and prioritization alignment Maintain the intake backlog, triage new requests, and track requirements from initiation through delivery Support Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI planning) and ensure Jira data cleanliness for reporting accuracy Develop and distribute project dashboards, KPIs, and status reports for operational leaders and program managers Ensure compliance with project governance standards, change-control processes, and documentation requirements Reporting & Analytics Create custom reports and dashboards to support performance measurement, capacity planning, and executive visibility Use Jira Query Language (JQL) to support advanced queries and analytics Provide insights and recommendations to optimize workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve service delivery Stakeholder Support & Training Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support to end users, including troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and enhancement requests Lead training sessions and develop user guides to increase Jira adoption and utilization across the organization Partner with IT security, development teams, and program leadership to ensure platform alignment with enterprise policies Qualifications Required U.S. Citizenship Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–5 years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Atlassian tool specialist Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Experience with requirements intake, project coordination, or product lifecycle management Proficiency in Jira Query Language (JQL) and Jira dashboard/report creation Familiarity with compliance or security frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP, or general public-sector IT governance Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills Ability to work a hybrid work schedule in Corona, CA If applicable:
