Cargo Specialist

We are looking for a  Cargo Domain SME  to provide expertise in  air cargo operations , cargo management systems, and end‑to‑end cargo processes. The role supports product teams, delivery programs, customer workshops, and digital transformation initiatives across the cargo ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Domain Expertise
Provide subject matter guidance across  air cargo processes , including:
Cargo Reservations & Booking
Air Waybill (AWB) management
Export & Import operations
Warehouse & terminal operations
ULD management
Cargo revenue accounting
Customs & regulatory compliance
Special cargo handling (DG, perishables, pharma)
Solution Consulting
Define business requirements, workflows, and user stories for cargo applications.
Drive process mapping and solution design for new features, automation, and digitalization initiatives.
Perform impact analysis, gap analysis, and process optimization.
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with cargo airlines, GSA/handlers, freight forwarders, customs partners, and warehouse vendors.
Conduct workshops, demonstrations, UAT sessions, and customer trainings.
Delivery Collaboration
Partner with architects, product owners, and developers to align domain requirements.
Support QA teams with functional validation and scenario testing.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15+ years  of experience in air cargo operations, cargo systems, or freight management.
Strong functional knowledge of:
Cargo Reservations
AWB processes
Warehouse & terminal operations
EDI messaging (Cargo-IMP, Cargo-XML)
Customs interfaces (ACI, ICS, AMS, e‑Freight)
Hands-on exposure to:
Cargo management systems (e.g., Accelya, IBS iCargo, Kargo, CHAMP Cargospot, Unisys Cargo Portal).

Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of IATA standards (Tact, DGR, e‑AWB, ONE Record).
Experience in cargo digital transformation, automation, or warehouse modernization programs.
