What You'll Own
Develop and execute the overall SEO strategy for our Shopify e-commerce store — covering product pages, category pages, and blog content
Perform keyword research targeting high-intent queries like "Class 12 CBSE Accountancy textbook" and "ICSE Commerce books online"
Conduct monthly technical SEO audits — site speed, crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, canonical tags, and Book schema markup for product pages
Build and manage topic clusters: subject-wise content (Maths, Science, Commerce, etc.) mapped to board and class level
Monitor and report on rankings, organic traffic, and conversions using Google Search Console, GA4, and Ahrefs/Semrush
Brief and manage freelance writers; review content for SEO quality before publishing
Coordinate with our AI agent infrastructure to configure, oversee, and validate automated SEO workflows
Coordinate with the website team to implement SEO recommendations on product catalog pages
You're a Great Fit If You Have
Proven experience in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
Extensive, hands-on knowledge of AI tools for SEO — including but not limited to:
Content AI: Surfer SEO, Frase, Jasper, or ChatGPT for content briefs, optimisation, and scaling output
Automation AI: Experience using AI agents (Open Claw, , n8n) to automate rank tracking, audits, or reporting workflows
Research AI: Using Perplexity, Claude, or similar tools for competitive research and SERP analysis
Writing AI: Ability to prompt LLMs effectively to produce SEO-grade product descriptions and meta content at scale
Hands-on proficiency with Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4
Experience optimising e-commerce product and category pages (Shopify preferred)
Basic understanding of HTML, schema markup, and page speed optimisation
Strong analytical mindset — you make decisions from data, not instinct
Comfort working in a hybrid human + AI workflow where your job is to direct and quality-check AI outputs , not just produce manually
Bonus:
Prior experience in EdTech, publishing, or the education sector
