System Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong L2 System Engineer to support and maintain our enterprise IT infrastructure. The role involves managing Windows servers, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, endpoint security, monitoring systems, and supporting day-to-day operational issues escalated from L1. The candidate should have hands-on troubleshooting experience and a good understanding of ITIL processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and support Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and user access controls.
• Troubleshoot networking issues (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN connectivity).
• Perform server patching using WSUS / Manage Engine Endpoint Central.
• Manage antivirus/XDR solutions (Trend Micro, Cortex, McAfee).
• Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Whats Up Gold , Zabbix, Solar Winds, or Nagios.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V / Citrix).
• Assist in backup operations and disaster recovery processes.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, user administration).
• Support cloud environments (Azure / AWS) – basic provisioning and monitoring.
• Implement and manage 2FA, SSO, and basic encryption policies.
• Perform basic Power Shell or shell scripting for automation tasks.
• Support Linux servers (basic administration and troubleshooting).
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Handle L2 escalations, root cause analysis, and documentation.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in system/infrastructure support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows Server and networking.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization and monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Understanding of security best practices and patch management.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
