Job Title:
Lead Business Analyst – Finance & Data Management
Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong finance background and expertise in SQL and ETL/DW concepts . The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, financial reporting, and business process optimization . Prior exposure to the Telecom industry and familiarity with Fynapse (Accounting tool) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to finance and data management.
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Create data mapping documents, testing framework for integration testing.
Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Apply ETL/DW concepts to support data warehousing and reporting initiatives.
Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure seamless communication.
Support testing and validation of implemented solutions.
Lead Role Requirements
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the Business Analyst team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of finance and data management projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Take ownership of complex business requirements, driving solution design and implementation with minimal supervision.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Review and approve business requirements, technical specifications, and data mapping documents prepared by team members.
Lead the development and execution of testing frameworks, ensuring high-quality integration and user acceptance testing.
Champion process improvements and innovation in data analysis, financial reporting, and business process optimization.
Act as the primary escalation point for project issues, risks, and dependencies, proactively resolving challenges to maintain project momentum.
Support talent development by providing coaching, feedback, and training to junior analysts and new team members.
Represent the team in leadership forums, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL and ETL/DW concepts.
Industry
Experience:
Finance/Telecom industry experience is a plus.
Tools & Platforms:
Familiarity with Fynapse is desirable.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
