Dutitex Heritage is expanding, and we are looking for a strong, proactive, quality-focused Senior Fashion Designer with strong experience in bohemian, contemporary design and a deep understanding of surface embellishment, including embroidery, patchwork, and other craft-based techniques. The ideal candidate must be able to create simple silhouettes with high-quality execution, combining creativity with technical precision. This role requires a self-motivated designer who can independently develop full design concepts from start to finish, presenting only final options for approval from the Creative Director.

Important:
Our brand caters to the international market, therefore the design approach must be modern, globally relevant, and craft-inspired, with an elevated, contemporary aesthetic.
A solid understanding of Indian craft traditions is essential, as our work heavily involves artisanal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently create complete design concepts based on briefs, from sketch to production files.
Design embroidery and surface embellishment artworks: motifs, placement, colorways, and technique sheets.
Work with embroidery masters to ensure designs are artisan-friendly and executable.
Develop clean, modern silhouettes with strong fit, construction, and finishing.
Create patchwork concepts, applique layouts, and mixed-craft surfaces.
Prepare detailed tech packs, pattern references, and embroidery documentation.
Collaborate with sampling and production teams to ensure consistent quality.
Conduct fabric research: sari fabrics, silks, natural fibers, block prints, handlooms, etc.
Maintain originality while respecting the brand's bohemian, contemporary identity.

Required

Skills and Experience:

Mandatory:
Minimum 3 years of experience in embroidery, surface embellishment, patchwork, or craft-based design.
Strong understanding of Indian textile craft, motifs, and artisan processes.
Proven experience with bohemian, contemporary, or craft-inspired design languages.
Solid knowledge of pattern making and garment construction.
Strong sense of color harmony, balance, and composition.
Ability to work independently and execute designs from concept to final.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
