Deputy Executive Producer - Production - R Bharat

Republic Bharat TV  is seeking a dynamic, decisive, and highly experienced  Deputy Executive Producer (DEP)  to oversee end-to-end news production operations and  manage PCR (Production Control Room)  functioning across live and recorded broadcasts.

The DEP will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news coverage, and special programming while maintaining  Republic Bharat’s editorial intensity, speed, and accuracy standards.

This role demands strong editorial judgment, exceptional leadership skills, technical proficiency in PCR operations, and the ability to take quick decisions under high-pressure live broadcast situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee complete end-to-end news production across shifts, ensuring seamless execution of live bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news, and special programming.
Manage PCR operations during live and recorded broadcasts, ensuring flawless on-air execution.
Plan and supervise rundowns in coordination with editorial leadership, aligning output with channel priorities and brand positioning.
Take real-time editorial and production decisions during live telecasts under high-pressure conditions.
Drive structured breaking news coverage, coordinating studio, field reporters, and multi-location live feeds.
Ensure strict quality control over scripts, graphics, tickers, debates, and all on-air visual elements.
Maintain compliance with editorial policies, legal guidelines, and broadcast standards.
Coordinate effectively with Directors, Technical Teams, MCR, Graphics, Audio, and Assignment Desk for smooth broadcast flow.
Mentor, and supervise Producers, and production staff, ensuring discipline and accountability.
Handle last-minute editorial changes, technical disruptions, and crisis situations with decisive solutions.
Improve PCR workflows and operational efficiency while maintaining broadcast logs and documentation.
Take full ownership of shift quality, breaking news response time, and overall broadcast excellence.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in television news production
The candidate must possess strong editorial instincts, in-depth knowledge of PCR functioning and broadcast systems, expertise in rundown management software such as iNews or similar platforms.
