Customer Service​/Sales

Overview

The Home Depot is seeking a Customer Service/Sales associate. The role provides fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Associates learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project. They will learn how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and how to handle basics in adjacent departments.

• Greet customers, qualify their needs, make recommendations, and close sales in the assigned department.
• Learn product information using company tools to assist customers and sell projects.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete required safety training, correct hazards or report conditions to management.
• Collaborate with Department Supervisor and other associates across departments.
• Work in departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental as applicable.

Specific job types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
