Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary)
The Financial Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of Mariposa Community Health Center. This position will assist in various aspects of financial analysis, reporting, and budgetary controls under the guidance of the Controller. The Financial Analyst will contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Finance/Accounting
- Collaborate with the Controller/CFO in maintaining the integrity of general ledgers.
- Assist in the analysis of balance sheet account analysis and review monthly financial statements.
- Evaluate cost center and chart of account structures.
- Contribute to controlling annual expenditures and optimizing data processing support required during month-end procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and verification of journal entries for obvious errors and omissions and enter corrected data into the general ledger.
- Review subsidiary journals for errors and omissions, making necessary corrections.
- Perform tasks associated with the general ledger, including entering monthly journal entries and executing month-end closing procedures.
- Support the reconciliation of payroll and cash disbursement accounts.
- Verify accounts receivable for patients and reconcile to general ledger accounts.
- Assist in reviewing and updating monthly closing procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining accounting system integrity.
- Perform data entry for grant programs and conduct analysis on existing databases for management review and program evaluation.
- Collaborate with the Controller/CFO in the preparation of periodic reports, surveys, and year‑end audit work papers.
- Assist Accounting and Senior Tax Accountant as needed. Assume payroll duties when Payroll Specialist is away.
- Assists with ad‑hoc tasks as requested or assigned.

TypicalPhysical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., keyboard, mouse, telephone).
- Must possess adequate vision and hearing to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
- Requires working effectively under stressful conditions, travel as requested.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with ability to read, write, and speak both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Professional‑level fluency in English (writing, speaking and reading) required.
- Bilingual ability in English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any relevant accounting software.
- Competency in working with people of various cultures.
- Evidence of valid Arizona driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Prioritization and multi‑task skills required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written communications.
- Knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing and database management.
- Ability to work with staff of all levels of expertise and experience.
- Excellent reasoning and conceptual abilities.
Four (4) year college degree in accounting.
ExperienceTwo (2) years experience in general accounting, including full charge bookkeeping through month‑end closing, and financial statement preparation preferred.
One (1) year of healthcare experience preferred.
Certification/License- Must obtain in‑house CPR certification within 30 days of start date.
- Must have a valid Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply within seven working days of start date.
- Must comply with all applicable immunization requirements.
