Job DescriptionJoin an innovative startup focused on revolutionizing the Aerospace & Defense industry through 3D printing complex parts and components. The company is at the forefront of developing a 3D printing machine that promises high-precision manufacturing, ultimately offering significant cost savings to OEM customers. With plans to expand into the Automotive and Medical Device sectors, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, currently consisting of 10 employees, preparing to start production in a new manufacturing space by June 2025.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of complex, high-precision equipment including motion control systems, material handling components, and structural assemblies.
- Review and approve mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Conduct structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design processes.
- Support the engineering team by alleviating workload from key bottlenecks in the design and approval process.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and new product development with industrial machinery or applications.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with NX.
- Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
This position requires onsite work in an office environment, expected 5 days per week. The schedule is typically 8 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility on start time.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.26 - $62.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
