Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Job SummaryJoin the team at Caterpillar’s newly established motor prototyping facility in Noblesville, Indiana—a key initiative supporting our electrification strategy. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a hands‑on role in building, assembling, and testing advanced motor technologies that will shape the future of our products. WhatYou Will Do
- Assemble and test electric motor prototypes according to engineering specifications.
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to refine processes and designs.
- Document procedures, test results, and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Operational Functions: Basic understanding and knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Identifies the primary operational functions of the organization.
- Explains operational functions and key functional roles of own dept or unit.
- Describes the interdependence of support functions and line operating functions.
- Clarifies the role of each department and its relevance to the enterprise strategy.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas.
