Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
The Parts Specialist provides high levels of service to all retail and installer customers and supports store management in assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, and related initiatives.
- Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls per company policy, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending related items with the Low-Price Guarantee.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer; accept cash and checks, make change, and process credit card transactions accurately.
- Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
- Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns (new, core, and warranty) to be shipped to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and company requirements are met.
- Provide in-store services for customers where allowed by state and local laws (e.g., install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules).
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company eligibility requirements).
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required:
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
- Desired:
- Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
