The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is responsible for coordination of research studies conducted by Mercy Research. The CRN handles day‑to‑day operational tasks related to clinical trials, including volunteer recruitment, drug/device/supply inventory maintenance, and interaction with physicians, nurses, office staff, patients, and clinical monitors. Duties also include the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data while following local, state, and federal regulations.
The CRN assists with training and preceptor duties, and the study load and complexity increase with experience, resulting in more enrollments and visits. The CRN builds relationships with sponsors and CROs.

Qualifications- Education: Nursing Diploma, Nursing Associate’s degree, or Nursing Bachelor's degree.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse with a valid license in the state of practice.
- Experience: 2 years of nursing experience for Bachelor's degree holders, 3 years for Associate’s degree or diploma holders.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform basic patient assessments (vital signs, spirometry, ECGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring), strong communication skills with health professionals, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work independently and in groups.
- Preferred Experience: Phlebotomy experience; 2 years of clinical research experience.
